ONLY 5% ARE VACCINATED AGAINST COVID-19 IN WESTERN PROVINCE (ZANIS) Western Provincial Minister KAPELWA MBANGWETA says only five percent of the eligible population in Western Province are vaccinated against COVID-19. Mr. MBANGWETA reaffirmed government’s commitment of vaccinating 70-percent of the eligible population. He said this during the re-launch of the vaccination campaign awareness against the COVID-19 held at Mongu Bus station terminus, And Western Provincial Health Director FRANCIS LIYWALI said he was happy with the cordial relationship created between the Ministry of health and Barotse Royal Establishment -BRE- in the fight against the COVID-19 in the Province. Dr. LIYWALI implored all the people in the Province to get vaccinated as the country is expected to experience the fourth COVID-19 wave anytime soon. And ANGELO SILUMESII, who was a victim of the COVID-19, urged Mongu residents to get vaccinated saying the disease is real.
